MGO
MGO stands for methylglyoxal, originally identified as giving Manuka honey it's unique antibacterial characteristics. It is now one of the chemical markers used to indicate the level of each UMF™ Manuka honey. The higher the MGO rating, the higher the UMF™ rating will be. However MGO can not be used on it's own to prove it’s authenticity.

Independently Laboratory Tested.
At the time of packing, our batches of honey are sampled and sent to an independent IANZ (International Accreditation New Zealand) laboratory for quality testing. These tests ensure that our honey meets all the correct parameters for export and qualifications for a UMF™ certification. All of our honey batches are also tested for Glyphosate and will always be Glyphosate free.
